Specifies requirements for the manufacture, heat treatment, and finish of light hand hammers intended for striking of wood, metal, concrete, masonry, or stone. Tests for nail pulling and handle clearance of carpenter’s claw hammers are prescribed. An appendix provides guidance on the safe use of light hand hammers.
