Specifies requirements for mobile, self-contained high and low volume dental suction equipment. Does not apply to venturi systems or high vacuum low suction equipment used in surgical procedures. Definitions, performance requirements and information to be supplied by the manufacturer are laid down. Appendices give methods for determining maximum suction pressure and determination of free air flow.
