Description
NZS 6609.1 – Radiofrequency radiation – Maximum exposure levels – 100 kHz to 300 GHz
(=AS 2772:Part 1:1990) Specifies limits of exposure of all or part of the human body in electromagnetic fields in the frequency range 100 kHz to 300 GHz. Applicable wherever people may be exposed to radiofrequency electromagnetic fields as a result of their employment and wherever the general public has access to regions in which they may be exposed. The limits specified are intended to be used as a basis for planning work procedures, designing protective facilities, the assessment of the efficiency of protective measures and practices and the determination of the extent and nature of the required health surveillance. Does not apply to frequencies below 1 GHz in situations where the only significant source of radiation is a device with an available power output at the terminals of a radiating antenna of not greater than 7 W.
