AS 1176.1 – Textiles – Methods of test for combustion properties, Part 1: The determination of ease of ignition of certain textile materials in a horizontal plane
Describes a procedure in which the textile material is held horizontal in a frame. A small flame ignition source is impinged on the lower surface for a predetermined time to see whether the specimen lights. A number of tests are carried out to determine a mean value.
