AS 1176.3 – Textiles – Methods of test for combustion properties, Part 3: Determination of surface burning properties of certain textile materials
Provides for a sample having a raised surface to be washed and dried. The raised surface is then brushed using a standard brushing apparatus before test specimens are mounted onto a frame in a vertical configuration and an assessment made as to whether the raised surface can be ignited by a small flame.
