AS 1558 – Protective clothing for welders (Incorporating Amdt 1)

Sets out requirements for protective clothing made from leather and asbestos fabric, with suitable textile materials of low flammability being recommended for linings and caps. It deals with materials, design and construction, and includes sizes and dimensions. Styles of clothing are illustrated. An appendix describes a method of test for resistance to corrosion of metal components.
