Applies to the use of reinforced concrete and plain concrete in any structure in which the density of concrete lies within the range 80-165 lb ft. This code is not intended to apply to the design of special structures such as highway and railway bridges; hydraulic structures such as tanks and pipes; prestressed concrete structures; or ferrocement structures.
