AS/NZS 4499.1 – Protective headgear for cricket, Part 1: Helmets
Specifies requirements for helmets used in cricket to mitigate the effects of a blow to the head by a cricket ball. Includes construction, strength of retention system and its attachment points, impact energy attenuation, and labelling requirements. Helmets complying with this Standard are not intended to protect wearers against a severe blow from a cricket bat.
