BS 3226 – Specification for thimbles for natural fibre ropes

The nominal size of the standard thimble is the circumference of the rope for which it is intended. Material, form and dimensions are specified for a size range from ¾ in to 18 in. The standard thimble is galvanized unless otherwise specified.
