Description

NZS 4402.6.2.1 – Methods of testing soils for civil engineering purposes – Soil strength tests – Determination of the compressive strength of specimens tested in undrained triaxial compression – Test 6.2.1 Method without measurement of pore water pressure

Covers the determination of the compressive strength of specimens of soil in the triaxial compression apparatus under conditions in which the cell pressure is maintained constant, and there is no change in the water content of the specimens. The test is limited to specimens in the form of right cylinders of height approximately equal to twice the diameter. To be read in conjunction with Part 1.
